Mass deworming trial aims to break the cycle of infection

NCT ID NCT03014167

Summary

This large study tested if giving deworming medicine to everyone in a community for three years could stop the spread of intestinal worm infections, compared to the standard approach of treating only children. It involved over 350,000 people across India, Malawi, and Benin. The goal was to see if this community-wide treatment could interrupt transmission, potentially leading to long-term elimination of these disabling diseases.
