Summary
This study is testing whether people with inflammatory or autoimmune diseases can safely stop their steroid medication (like prednisone) suddenly, compared to the standard method of slowly reducing the dose over four weeks. It involves over 500 adult patients who have been on steroids for at least a month. The main goal is to see if stopping suddenly leads to more hospital visits or adrenal crises, while monitoring patients' health for six months.
