Can a simple steroid shot make major liver surgery safer?

Summary
This study is testing whether giving a steroid called methylprednisolone before major liver surgery helps patients recover better. It will compare patients who get the steroid to those who get standard care, looking to see if it reduces problems like infections and shortens hospital stays. The goal is to make this major operation safer and easier to recover from.
