Could a common steroid shorten hospital stays for kids with dangerous eye infections?

NCT ID NCT07345819

Summary

This is a small pilot study to see if researchers can successfully run a larger future trial. That future trial will test if giving the steroid dexamethasone helps children and teenagers hospitalized with a severe eye infection (orbital cellulitis) get better faster than a placebo. This initial study will check if they can find enough participants, give the treatment correctly, and collect the necessary data.
