Could a common steroid pack be the key to less pain after knee surgery?

NCT ID NCT05859269

Summary

This study tested if adding a short, tapering course of steroid pills (a Medrol Dose Pak) after knee replacement surgery improves recovery. Researchers compared it to the standard single steroid dose given during surgery. They measured if the pill pack reduced patients' pain, nausea, and need for opioid painkillers in the first week after the operation.
