Summary
This study aims to find out which of two common surgical techniques is better for closing the breastbone after open-heart surgery in patients at high risk for healing problems. Researchers will compare rigid metal plates to traditional wire loops in 250 patients. The main goals are to see which method leads to better bone healing, fewer wound complications, and lower overall costs.
