New program aims to bridge gap for hispanic patients seeking pain relief
NCT ID NCT07290361
Summary
This study is testing a new support program called STEPPT to see if it helps more Hispanic patients with back or neck pain get referred to physical therapy and actually attend their appointments. The program trains doctors and provides patients with culturally tailored information and personal help to schedule visits and overcome common barriers. It focuses on patients receiving care at community health centers serving low-income areas near the U.S.-Mexico border.
