New device aims to seal dangerous aortic bulges better

NCT ID NCT05609539

Summary

This study tested a custom-made stent-graft designed to treat abdominal aortic aneurysms (dangerous bulges in the body's main artery) that have a complex shape near the kidney arteries. Fifty patients with these specific aneurysms received the device. Researchers followed them for up to five years to see if this specialized design improved the seal of the graft and reduced complications like leaks.
