New stent offers hope for eating again in advanced cancer patients
NCT ID NCT05644951
Summary
This study tested a new, less invasive procedure to help people with advanced cancer who have a stomach blockage that cannot be removed by surgery. Doctors used a special stent placed with an ultrasound-guided technique to create a new passage for food. The goal was to see if this procedure was safe and effective at relieving symptoms like nausea and vomiting, allowing patients to eat solid foods again.
