New stent offers hope for painful, swollen legs caused by blocked veins

NCT ID NCT05409976

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device, a stent, to open up major veins in the abdomen and legs that are severely blocked. The goal is to see if the stent is safe and effective at improving blood flow to relieve symptoms like leg pain, swelling, and ulcers. About 112 adults with these severe symptoms will have the stent placed and be followed for up to 5 years to check how well it works.
