First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether injecting human umbilical cord stem cells can prevent narrowing of the arm vein used for dialysis in people with end-stage diabetic kidney disease. About 54 participants will receive the stem cell treatment after fistula surgery. The goal is to see if it is safe and helps keep the fistula working longer.
