First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This early-stage study tests the safety of inhaling tiny particles from stem cells (called extracellular vesicles) in 24 adults with interstitial lung disease. Participants receive either the particles or a saltwater placebo by nebulizer. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and might improve lung function, but it is not a cure.
