Inhaled stem cell particles tested as new hope for allergy and asthma sufferers
NCT ID NCT07453771
Summary
This early-stage study is testing the safety and initial effectiveness of a new inhaled treatment for adults who have both moderate-to-severe allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and asthma. The treatment is a mist containing tiny particles (vesicles) derived from umbilical cord stem cells, which may help calm the overactive immune response causing these conditions. Researchers will first find a safe dose in a small group, then compare the treatment to a placebo in a larger group to see if it improves breathing, reduces allergy symptoms, and is well-tolerated.
