First human trial tests stem cell 'Nanoparticles' to repair scarred livers

NCT ID NCT07472270

Summary

This early-stage trial will test whether tiny particles from umbilical cord stem cells are safe for people with liver cirrhosis. Twelve adults with moderate liver scarring will receive increasing doses through an IV to check for side effects. Researchers will also look for early signs that these cell-free particles might help improve liver function and quality of life.
