Stem cell shot aims to help stroke patients move again

NCT ID NCT07197606

Summary

This study is testing whether an injection of stem cells from umbilical cords can help people recover movement and independence after a stroke. Researchers will compare the stem cell treatment to a placebo (dummy treatment) in 86 adults who had a stroke 2 weeks to 3 months ago. The main goal is to see if the treatment improves arm and leg movement over a 12-month period.
