Fat cells fight brain cancer: new stem cell trial offers hope

NCT ID NCT05789394

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether stem cells from donated body fat can be safely injected into the brain during surgery to treat aggressive brain cancer that has returned. The study aims to find the safest dose and see if these cells can slow tumor growth and improve survival for patients with recurrent glioblastoma. Researchers will monitor 20 patients closely for side effects and track how their cancer responds over the following year.
