First-of-its-Kind stem cell injection tested to halt worsening MS

NCT ID NCT06841068

Summary

This study aimed to test the safety and potential benefits of a new stem cell therapy for people with progressive multiple sclerosis (MS). Researchers planned to inject stem cells from amniotic fluid directly into the spinal fluid of participants over a year. The goal was to see if this approach could safely slow or improve the worsening disability seen in progressive forms of MS.
