Stem cell shots tested to slow Parkinson's decline

NCT ID NCT04995081

Summary

This study tested whether infusions of donor stem cells could help control Parkinson's disease. Sixty participants with early to moderate Parkinson's received either six stem cell treatments or a placebo over 20 weeks. Researchers measured changes in movement, daily activities, and safety to see if the cells could help manage the disease.
