Summary
This was a special access program for one 58-year-old man with severe nerve damage (polyneuropathy) caused by a rare condition called POEMS syndrome. The goal was to see if eight infusions of his own banked stem cells, given over 28 weeks, were safe and could help relieve his symptoms. This was not a standard clinical trial but a single-patient treatment evaluation.
