Experimental stem cell therapy offers hope for devastating brain disease

NCT ID NCT07238062

Summary

This expanded access program is testing whether stem cell injections can help control multiple system atrophy (MSA), a rare and progressive brain disorder. Up to 7 adults with confirmed MSA will receive monthly IV infusions and spinal injections of donor stem cells over 44 weeks. The main goals are to see if the treatment is safe and if it can slow or improve symptoms of this currently incurable disease.
