Brain cell transplant trial offers new hope for Parkinson's patients

NCT ID NCT07166757

Summary

This study is testing whether injecting lab-grown brain cells into the brain can help people with early-onset Parkinson's disease. The cells are designed to replace the dopamine-producing neurons that are lost in Parkinson's. Participants will receive a single injection along with immune-suppressing drugs to prevent rejection, and researchers will monitor their symptoms and brain function for up to a year.
