Stem cell shot tested to halt kidney damage in diabetes

NCT ID NCT06969807

Summary

This study is testing whether an experimental treatment using umbilical cord stem cells (called Amimestrocel) can help slow or improve kidney damage in people with diabetic kidney disease. It will involve about 120 participants to see if the treatment is safe and if it can reduce protein in urine and preserve kidney function. The goal is to find a new way to control this serious diabetes complication.
