Stem cell shot aims to ease debilitating back pain

NCT ID NCT06001853

Summary

This study is testing whether injections of donor stem cells into the spine's facet joints can safely reduce chronic low back pain. It will involve 40 adults who have had back pain for at least 6 months that hasn't improved with standard treatments like physical therapy or medication. Participants will receive either the stem cell injection or a placebo solution, and researchers will track their pain levels, medication use, and ability to work over 12 months.
