Personal stem cells tested to fight Alzheimer's

NCT ID NCT04228666

Summary

This early-stage study aimed to test the safety of a potential Alzheimer's treatment using a patient's own stem cells. The plan was to give 24 participants with early Alzheimer's four infusions of these cells. Researchers wanted to see if the treatment was safe and if it could reduce brain inflammation and potentially slow the disease.
