Groundbreaking stem cell trial aims to repair failing hearts
NCT ID NCT07496372
Summary
This study is testing whether injecting lab-grown heart muscle cells directly into the heart during bypass surgery can help people with severe heart failure. About 80 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either standard surgery alone or surgery plus the stem cell injection. Researchers will measure if the treatment improves how far patients can walk, their quality of life, and heart function over 12 months.
