Stem cells may save eyes from chemical burns in new trial

Summary

This study tests whether injecting donor stem cells into the eye can help heal severe chemical burns that often lead to blindness. About 21 adults with a recent serious eye burn will receive one or two stem cell shots. The goal is to prevent the eye from breaking open and to improve healing over 12 months.
