Stem cell shots aim to loosen Scleroderma's grip on Patients' mouths

NCT ID NCT07326033

Summary

This study is testing whether injections of donor stem cells around the mouth can reduce scarring and tightness caused by systemic scleroderma. It will compare the stem cell treatment against a placebo injection in 50 adults with significant mouth disability. The main goal is to see if the treatment improves patients' ability to open their mouth, speak, and eat comfortably after 12 weeks.
