Stem cells tested in fight against COVID-19
NCT ID NCT04362189
Summary
This study tested whether infusions of stem cells from donor fat tissue could help patients with COVID-19. Researchers compared the stem cell treatment against a placebo (dummy infusion) in 48 adults suspected of having COVID-19. The main goals were to see if the treatment reduced harmful inflammation, improved breathing, and helped patients recover faster.
