Radical stem cell 'Reset' tested as last hope for tough MS cases
NCT ID NCT04047628
Summary
This study is testing whether a stem cell transplant can better control multiple sclerosis (MS) than the best available drugs in people whose MS stays active despite treatment. It will involve 156 adults whose MS has flared up despite taking strong medications. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the stem cell transplant procedure or continue with the most effective drug therapy, and researchers will follow them for six years to see which approach works better.
