Patients choose: risky cure or safer control in bone marrow cancer trial

NCT ID NCT04217356

Summary

This study aims to find out which treatment works better for people with high-risk myelofibrosis, a serious bone marrow cancer. Participants choose between a stem cell transplant (which could cure the disease but has serious risks) or the best available non-transplant drug therapy (which controls symptoms but isn't a cure). Researchers will then follow 90 patients to compare survival rates and quality of life between the two groups.
