New transplant method aims to tame deadly blood cancers with mismatched donors

NCT ID NCT02323867

Summary

This trial is testing a modified stem cell transplant for people with blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma who don't have a perfectly matched donor. Doctors use a special process to remove certain immune cells from the donor's stem cells before the transplant. The goal is to help the patient's body accept the new cells with fewer dangerous side effects while still fighting the cancer.
