Summary

This early-stage study tests whether transplanting lab-made retinal cells into the eye is safe and can help people with late-stage age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Nine adults aged 50–80 with advanced AMD will receive the cell transplant under the retina. The main goal is to check for side effects; doctors will also measure any changes in vision.
