First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests a new way to prepare donor stem cells for transplant in children and young adults with non-cancerous blood diseases. The goal is to remove the cells that cause serious side effects (graft-versus-host disease) while keeping cells that fight infections. Up to 12 participants will receive a transplant from a partially matched donor, and researchers will monitor safety and how well the immune system recovers.
