Radical 'Immune Reset' trial offers hope for incurable Crohn's

NCT ID NCT03219359

Summary

This study is for people with severe Crohn's disease that hasn't improved with standard medications. It tests a two-part treatment: first, a stem cell transplant to 'reset' the immune system, followed by a drug called vedolizumab to help keep the disease under control. The goal is to see if this combination leads to longer periods of remission and better health for patients.
