Stem cell shot aims to restore ovarian function in small safety trial
NCT ID NCT06578039
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This early-stage study tested whether a single injection of stem cells from donated umbilical cords is safe for women with premature ovarian insufficiency (early menopause). Only 6 women took part, and the main goal was to check for side effects, not to prove it works. Researchers also looked at hormone levels to see if there were any hints of benefit.
