Scientists hunt clues to make stem cell liver treatment work better

NCT ID NCT07198854

Summary

This study aims to understand why some patients with severe, sudden liver failure do not benefit from stem cell therapy. Researchers will look at the medical records of 446 past patients who received stem cell injections for Hepatitis B-related liver failure. By analyzing who improved and who did not, they hope to identify factors that predict treatment success, helping doctors use this therapy more effectively in the future.
