Stem cell shots tested to slow devastating brain disease
NCT ID NCT03252535
Summary
This study tested whether a stem cell therapy called Cellavita HD could slow the progression of Huntington's disease, a severe genetic brain disorder. Forty-nine patients received either a low dose, a high dose, or a placebo via three monthly intravenous infusions. Researchers measured changes in movement, thinking, and daily function over time to see if the treatment helped.
