Summary

This study tests whether injecting stem cells from donated umbilical cords into the heart muscle during bypass surgery can help people with chronic heart failure. About 51 adults with weak hearts (ejection fraction 40% or less) will receive the stem cells or a placebo. The goal is to see if the treatment is safe and improves heart function over six months.
