Could your own fat cells slow Alzheimer's? new trial tests revolutionary approach

NCT ID NCT06775964

Summary

This study is testing whether stem cells taken from a patient's own body fat can treat brain inflammation in people with early Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will give 12 participants four infusions of their processed stem cells over 12 weeks to see if it reduces inflammation, improves brain activity, and slows disease progression. The trial focuses on adults aged 60-80 who are in the early stages of memory and thinking problems.
