Stem cell shot aims to halt diabetic kidney damage

NCT ID NCT07396155

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a single injection of umbilical cord stem cells directly into the kidney is safe and can help improve kidney function in people with diabetic kidney disease. Ten participants aged 40-65 will receive the injection and be monitored for a full year to check for side effects and measure changes in key kidney health markers. The goal is to see if this cell therapy can slow disease progression alongside standard medications.
