First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether stem cells from donated fat tissue can help people with lung scarring caused by autoimmune diseases like lupus or scleroderma. Sixteen adults will receive infusions and be monitored for safety and breathing improvements over nearly a year. The goal is to control the disease and reduce the need for strong immune-suppressing drugs.
