First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This early-phase study tested whether a single intravenous infusion of a patient's own fat-derived stem cells is safe for adults with active rheumatoid arthritis. Fifteen participants were monitored for side effects over 12 months. The study also looked at changes in inflammation markers like TNF-alpha and IL-6. It was not designed to prove the treatment works, only to check safety.
