Early trial tests Patient's own fat cells as potential arthritis treatment

NCT ID NCT03691909

Summary

This early-stage study tested the safety of a single infusion of a patient's own stem cells, collected from their body fat, for treating active rheumatoid arthritis. It involved 15 adults to see if the treatment was safe and to check for early signs it might reduce joint inflammation. The main goal was to monitor for any side effects over a full year after the single treatment.
