First human test: Double-Dose stem cells for stroke recovery

NCT ID NCT04434768

Summary

This is a first-in-human safety study testing stem cells from donated umbilical cords in patients who recently had a stroke. Ten participants will receive the cells via two different injection methods (into an artery and into a vein) to see if it's safe. Researchers will also look for early signs that the treatment might help with stroke recovery, but the main goal is to check for side effects.
