First human test: stem cells target brittle bones

NCT ID NCT06949137

Summary

This early-stage study is testing the safety of a single injection of human stem cells in postmenopausal women with severe osteoporosis who are at high risk of bone fractures. The main goal is to see if the treatment is safe and well-tolerated, not to prove it works. Researchers will monitor 9 participants closely for side effects and track how the body processes the cells.
