New drug combo may boost stem cell collection for rare immune disease

Summary

This study tests a combination of ibuprofen, G-CSF, and plerixafor to collect stem cells from people with X-linked chronic granulomatous disease (X-CGD), a rare immune disorder. The goal is to see if this drug mix is safe and effective at gathering enough stem cells for future gene therapy. Only 3 adults aged 18-45 with X-CGD will take part.
