Your own fat cells could ease your aching thumb
NCT ID NCT05708430
Summary
This study is testing the safety of a new treatment for painful thumb arthritis (rhizarthrosis). Doctors will take a small amount of a patient's own fat, process it to get regenerative cells, and inject it into the thumb joint. The goal is to see if this one-time injection is safe and could help control the disease, potentially offering an alternative to surgery.
