One-Shot stem cell therapy aims to ease arthritic knee pain

NCT ID NCT05526001

Summary

This study is testing if a single injection of stem cells, collected from a person's own body fat, can safely reduce pain and improve function in a knee damaged by osteoarthritis. About 165 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the stem cell injection or a placebo saline injection. The main goal is to see if the stem cell treatment is better than the placebo at improving knee pain over 48 weeks.
