Your own fat cells could ease arthritic hip pain

NCT ID NCT03608579

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether stem cells taken from a patient's own body fat can safely reduce pain and improve function in arthritic hips. Researchers will inject either one or two doses of these processed cells directly into the hip joint of 24 adults with mild-to-moderate osteoarthritis. Participants will be closely monitored for two years to check for side effects and see if the treatment helps with pain, activity levels, and joint health.
