Fat cells injected into penis to treat Post-Surgery impotence
NCT ID NCT07355530
Summary
This study tested whether a one-time injection of a patient's own regenerative cells, taken from belly fat, could improve erectile function in men who developed lasting problems after prostate removal surgery. 70 men were randomly assigned to receive either the real cell injection or a placebo shot into the penis, and neither they nor the doctors knew which treatment they got. Researchers tracked changes in erection quality and sexual function using questionnaires and a sleep monitor over a full year to see if the cell treatment worked better than the placebo.
